inddPreview Features and Description

1. inddPreview comes with a Quick Look plug-in on board, that enables Finder to show preview images of InDesign® documents* without the need to open them with InDesign®.

2. In addition you can use the app itself to copy the embedded preview images from the InDesign® document to the clipboard to use them elsewhere.

3. Works with InDesign® documents (.indd), InDesign® template files (.indt), InDesign® snippets (.idms) and InCopy® documents (.icml) from CS2 to CC2022.

4. *inddPreview doesn’t render the InDesign® documents! It can only use what has been embedded by InDesign® when the file has been saved.

5. How many and of what size/quality the embedded page preview images are, can be configured in the preferences of InDesign®.

6. The app itself is primarily a medium to provide the Quick Look plug-in to the system – it doesn't need to run, it just needs to be there.

Simple and saves a lot of time

I use quick look a lot. It's in my nature. I can't live without it. Having an app that I use all the time (InDesign) without quick look drove me insane. This did the job. It saved my sanity.

Exactly what I needed

I had come to depend on the freeware qlgenerator plugin that Jenny released years ago. It finally broke earlier this year for me. Old files would still show, but new ones would not (or only in weird circumstances). Anyway, it was broken and unreliable. This app brought the magic back. I know it’s dumb that Adobe doesn’t bake this into their software, but $4 is a small price to pay for patching a hole in my workflow. Thanks Jenny!! I don’t know you, but you’ve been an important part of my workday for many years :) P.S. After downloading, launch the app and quit. Then log out and back in. Viola! InDesign previews again. (btw I’m running CS6 with OS X 10.11.6 on an early 2009 Windows)

ITS SO PERFECT YOU CANNOT BELIEVE IT

I can't believe how easy this app work!! it's so perfect it can display the an indesign files as it was a JPEG no kidding.. This app works like if ADOBE made it! It works with the Big Sur like magic. Thanks a lot for the app developer.. you've saved me.
