DiceGen Overview
What is DiceGen? DiceGen is a free app that generates secure, random passphrases using the Diceware algorithm. The algorithm involves rolling a 6-sided die 5 times per word in the passphrase, and each set of 5 rolls is grouped into a 5-digit number that corresponds to a word in a list. The app allows for customizable security settings, copying passphrases to the clipboard, and creating passphrases that meet website security requirements by capitalizing words or adding special characters. Although the algorithm calls for the use of a physical die, the app uses a random number generator function for convenience.
1. The Diceware algorithm consists of rolling a 6-sided die 5 times per word in your passphrase (e.g. for a 7-word pass phrase, roll the die 5 * 7 = 35 times).

3. Each set of 5 rolls is grouped into a 5-digit number, which is then looked up in a list of words.
4. Saved passphrases are automatically saved to the passphrase history.
