Weather Now!
This has been an excellant app. I use it every day. While there are many weather forecasting apps (not to mention weather reports on the local news programs)...which vary greatly in their forecasting accuracy. This app give a quick local & national view of what the weather looks like at that moment in time. I feel I can better understand the forecasts once I have the big picture view this program provides.
Radar Live
I have had Radar Live for over two years and like it the more I use it. Nobody is going to believe that it is the only app I have ever purchased … in two plus years. And I have a lot of apps on three new and old Macs. They all work well. The app is flexible and lets me quickly find stuff that I hear about on the news .. most recently tracking Florence as I have friends living in the Carolinas. I look forward to finding new ideas from the author in the update I just received although I am totally content with the version I have been using. Thanks..
Best App for Radar
When needing to dodge thunder and snow storms this is absoultley the best app. Show me one betterr and Ill buy it…. I had been using radar Live Pro for about a year, then it started to crash when opening. I contacted the app developers support via email. It took a couple trys but they did solve the problem. Their response was quck and effective. I live in south central Montna and depend on the radar to determine if the thunderstorms and snowstorms will hit or miss. A great app and would reccommend for anyone concerned how storms that will effect their work or recreation.
Just what I was looking for...
As I said, just what I was looking for…A simple two screen viewing of local radar (what ever city or state I list) and the total US. The week spread of days along the top is totally ample information. It has been pretty darn true to information I can follow and plan what I will be doing or may be doing. I can have it up on the desktop or easily open it up. Having friends and family all over the US, it is a great help to see what is going on with enough detail to satisfy me.
Great but with a new pesky flaw
I have used this app for years on two different Windows’s and use it daily. In the last month they have updated the d/l versions several times, so it’s good that support is ongoing, The current iteration has lost the integration of radar image with your chosen geography. One upgrade back, it would load the the local map and then auto zoom (!) in and out to the national view, now it only opens to the full national view. You can click somewhaere on the image to get it to show your local chosen view. No idea why it misbehaves this way. In general, it is still SOOOO much better than the ad-stuffed images I can see at our local ‘net weather sites. It is certainly worth the money. If it helps anyone, I now run it on my 2012 MacBookPro, with High Sierra (most recent OS we can run with limited -stock- RAM) Editorial comment: I have also read some other reviews, and some puzzling ones concern the cost… this little app is about the price of a “La Tae” cup of overpriced coffee!
