  Great Game!

  I love this game. I started with it on the iPhone, then moved to the iPad and played it on both devices for about a year. I was very happy to see a desktop version finally come out. However, why no sounds? I dislike the sounds and frequently mute them, but it would be nice to have them with a way to toggle them on and off manually. (This would be a great feature addition for the iOS version, too.) Thanks for the great game. I play regularly but have not yet benn able to get too far beyond 4096. There are versions of this game with an Undo feature. That ruins the game. This more unforgiving way is far better.

  Clever game that you may overthink.

  Directions? We don’t need no steenking directions! And you don’t, really. The whole board shifts up/down/side to side as you tap your arrow keys. Tiles recombine as you move. And if you are like me, you might think too much. “There has to be a strategy!” I said to myself. Well, yes and no. As it turns out, I got a 500 point BETTER score than my Best Thoughtful Effort by just going in a pattern of up-right-down-left, over and over. So much for my big-deal IQ. As another person wrote, this is a great brain-clearing game between tasks. Turn off higher thinking and just poke the keys. Have fun!

  WARNING! Addictive gameplay alert.

  This game has minimal graphics, no sound, very few options but yet one of the most addictive games I’ve played in years. I’m not a huge gamer, but this one’s gotten hold of me. I can’t recommend it enough for an easy way to clear your mind from whatever your doing on your Windows. There is strategy in it however. It’s not mindless by any means. Just install it and play it for 5 minutes. It’s worth the click.

  Bitter Sweet

  Love the game, took about 30 seconds to get the hang of it and since then I’ve become addicted. My wife has also become addicted and is now blaming me for her apparent lack of productiveness. Pretty fun though, we’re now competing against eachother for the highest level reached. Good way ( I guess ) to waste time if you’re not into exercise, reading, playing with your children, volunteering ect….

  2048 review

  i persoanlly love this game although sometmes you may rage. I would highly recomend the game. I also use it to take my mind off things that are boteting me or i just want off my mind, therefore in my point of veiw its helpful for that. The game can be highly addicitng and since it is on my computer some times it does get very distracting towards me and i play it while in school. but once you have found the stargedy of the game it becomes very easy to play. If you rage way to easliy or do not have any interest in sort of puzzly type games i would say this game is not for you but you should try it out. who knows you may end up liking it and getting addicted just like me.
