My favorite Solitaire Game
I have tried several solitaires and after playing it for a long while, this one is by far my favorite. It offers so many types of solitaires and includes a demo play of each one, so when trying a new one, I can skip reading the instructions and just watch the demo for a minute. It has a bar on the left with icons of all the game commands-very handy rather then searching for them in menus. Commands include for when you dont want to use too much brain power : “available moves” unlimited “undos” “redos" and “collect all” (which I use to send the cards automatically to the foundation piles after I have solved the solitaire). It even has a “set bookmark” to return to a specific time in the solitaire if I want to explore several ways of solving. The layout is uncluttered with big cards making it easy on the eyes and brain. Very well thought out.
Glitch?
250+ Solitaires continues as one of my favorite games to play on the Windows. However, after updating to High Sierra, this game crashed and visiting the developer’s web page didn’t help. I hope the developer will send out a fix soon since the iOS app apparently received an update this past Jul.
Quick response - the upgrade works great!
I have been playing this game for years and have enjoyed many of the different Solitaire versions. I upgraded to High Sierra and the app simply didn't work. It was an instant crash. I wrote a review that expressed my disappointment but now I have to report that the upgrade of 250+ Solitaires for High Sierra came out really fast and it works now just like the earlier version. I’m back to taking that occasional break and relaxing while I play a Canfield variation or Klondike. Thanks for the quick response.
Bug fix added a bug
DL’ed the update yesterday. Started playing and it seemed fine until I successfully reached the end of the game. I usually hit command+a to autoplay the remaining cards. But when I tried that the screen was the same. I tried again, and again. Finally I clicked on the screen and the dropdown came onscreen. OK, if you don’t want the software to automatically sort the cards, at least have it drop the screen to play again/choose another solitare/exit so the user can know what is going on. Lost a star for this.
