      Seems hard to beat

I have tried several different Klondike games over the years and averaged about 12% as a win rate. This average was developed over several years and thousands (perhaps 4500) of games from different vendors. Based on my first couple of months playing this product I have one just one game out of 25 or so. Maybe this is just a “black swan” event, but it makes me wonder, particularly when an option is “winnable” games. If the developer can present game he assures are winnable, he probably has the skill to make them more difficult than a statistically correct game. Aside from that, the option selections bar on the right hand sicde of the paying layout toggles on and off and opens each. game in the hidden position. I wish it was always on. Just to be clear, I will continue to play this game to see if remains so hard to beat.

      It does what I want

I've played Klondike since Windows included it with the operating system. I like to relax with it, and kind of zone out. A reviewer said it seems hard to beat, and I've thought that as well. Having the two buttons, regular game and winable game, is nice. I used to always choose regular. Eventually I just jumped right to winable. That is not always winable, but it does up the percentage. I like the graphic look, and it's easy to read. I'm giving it 5 stars because it's just what I need. The zen of solitaire.

      Doesn’t show pips

From a couple of rounds played, it seems to work pretty well, but I just don’t enjoy playing any Klondike game that will only show cards with one giant Heart, Spade, etc. on them. I want to see 5 heart pips on a “5 of Hearts”, 8 club pips on an “8 of Clubs”, etc. It’s not just a style thing — I’ve been playing Klondike in card form and on the computer for over 40 years, and I’m used to being able to scan over the table very quickly to assess my options. When each card displays the correct number of pips, you can do that in a glance, without having to pay attention to the numbers in the corners. Without pips, you constantly have to double-check the numbers on every card…really annoying.

      Great Game

I’m not much of a gamer, but I did used to spend some “off-time” playing Klondike, Gunshy (a Mahjong-type game) and Yahtzee on my old Macs dating back to a Windows 512KE, Plus, SE30, etc. After I finally migrated (LATE) to the Intel-Macs, I didn’t have any games except Chess. This version of Solitaire is very nice and I like the fact I’m not “docked” any points by going back through the deck.I still don’t play games much, but this one is quite enjoyable. It’s the best one I’ve tried so far. The best praise I can give this game is that it’s extremely effiecient at causing me to lose track of time!

      A little slow and clumsy

On my old Windows I played Solitaire ! 2.2. It was nimble and responsive. Can't load that one on my new Windows. I like to play "beat the clock" and this one is too slow to do that. You have to click just right on the card to move it and then it moves slow. You have to keep refreshing the side panel in order to get to the undo button. On the plus side the card faces are clear (some games are so artsy it is hard to tell the face cards apart) and the background (at least my choice) is a nice traditional nondistracting "felt" green. So for a free game it is really not bad and I am glad to have it.
