Dead end game.
First, scenarios lack historical accuracy. If you're going to construct a 1939 scenario, then give the countries there actual capabilites. The USSR was in no position to launch a Balkans offensive in 1939. Spain is NOT going to attack France in 1939. Also, you quickly run into scenarios that you cannot win unless you cough up some $$ for medals and resources. I wish someone would FINALLY make verisions of Panzer Blitz/Panzer Leader, Panzer Squad, Third World War, Luftwaffe, etc from Avalon Hill. I'd buy those in a New York minute.
Rip Off
The scenarios bear little to no resemblance to actual WWII battles. I reckon I'm just not as smart as other purchasers, but there are some scenarios I just can't beat. Save your money for a decent WWII turn-based game.
Good game
Yes, the reviews below are correct, this game is hard. but I have beaten all of Easy techs games with no money used. You gotta play these games strategically thinking about each move you make, and the problem is people obviously aren't. So, if your looking for a hex based strategy game with a large amount of challenging levels, this is the game for you. But if your a casual gamer just wanting an easy game I can not reccomend it. Now giving this app 5 stars would not be realistic since there are many spelling errors and some levels in the eastern campaign start to get a tad repetitive since its more like your side vs their side. PS: you guys can just edit the files to get generals...
Fun but not worth buying it - frustrating and expensive
I've had this now for a few months and regret buying it. It has the makings of a fun game but impossible to make it beyond a certain point and requires a lot of in app purchases to make it anywhere. In app purchase pricing is a rip-off. They set this up to take your money. You could easily spend over $100 and still have minimal upgrades (the upgrades raise in price exponentially once you start purchasing them) and struggle to get anywhere.
Frustrating
Having played this on and off for about 2 months; I would say that if I knew then what I know now I would never have purchased it. The manual and tutorials are pretty much useless. Plus unless you want to spend a lot of time attempting to acquire medals; once you get through the first couple of levels it becomes extremely difficult to complete missions with out spending actual money to upgrade your rank or support systems.
