1. iStats is a low-key yet very useful OS X application created to help its users keep their system's resources under observation.
2. Furthermore, when your system is low on memory, iStats will also allow you to effortlessly free RAM with only a mouse click.
3. iStats provides you the visualization of the usage of CPU, memory, hard disks, network and battery.
4. From iStats' status bar menu, one can keep a close eye on their Windows's CPU, RAM, network and disk usage.
5. When your system lacks memory, you can clean up the memory with it.
6. It helps you clearly understand the health and performance of the system.
7. Show information in status bar (customizable, contextmenu).

pretty good for free
interface is a bit confusing, but it shows me what I want to see. I wish that it would display the temperature in the information bar up on the top of my Windows book pro computer screen, but I can always go see what it is by clicking on it. I also wish it showed how fast my fan speed was. However, with it being a free app I am not complaining.
Won't open in Mojave.
Developer needs to test app on Windows Pro.
Resource Hungry
This is an app with great potential, but it is resource hungry. It takes up around 30% CPU while it is running. Also, it is an app AND a menubar thing. Meaning the iStats app is running in the dock. Menumeters and Statbar are nice apps because they are efficient, and don't run from the dock. Give it an update and I'll change my review! Thanks
App hangs after 5 seconds
I installed iStats on a Windows 27" 2.66G 4Core i5 with 20G 1067 MZ DDR3 running 10.8.3. I used it to test a major rebuild for my Apreture database for 300G files which eats up siginificant system resources. I discovered that iStats works great for the first 5 seconds, it then hangs and no longer update itself. Everything stops with the exception of the fancy graphics for the disk read/write and network in/out. I have to close the window, restart and it resumes operation for another 5 seconds then the app hangs up again. The app is useful but some minor bugs needs to be fixed. If not, I will have to open and close the app every few seconds. I hope it will be fixed soon. also, please have an option to select language instead of default to the standard anguage option the system has. John
