Great, but could be better
No resizing at all, can't move color palletes, and it is not so intuitive with keyboard shortcuts, etc. There is really no customization available. But it stores your colors in RGB/HSV - it does the job. It's a good price for the app. It would be great if this app got an update.
A good little app
Color Maker does not deserve all its bad reviews, just for charging a small fee for the picker feature. I’ve probably gone through half a dozen apps that do a similar job, but none that have worked as well as Color Maker. Purchase the picker, and get hex and RGB codes from anywhere, simpler than ever. The reasons I’m not giving five stars are 1) that the UI takes some getting used to, and could easily have designed to be more intuitive to OSX users, and 2) that I wish it were easier to create/edit .clr/.aco palettes/swatches, for use systemwide, instead of the native palettes in the app. But all in all, nothing to complain about.
useful application
This is good application. But like the others said, it needs color picker. When I clicked the pixel on the screen, I need the information of the color. And also you should add the RGB in the percentage too.
Unwelcomed UI change
This app was a great little utility to store frequently used colors. It lived in the menu bar, and was always and quickly available no matter which app you were in. Version 6 completely changed the UI, and removed the best feature of the app - being accessable from the menu bar. Now I need to switch apps just to look at color pallettes, or select a color. This context switching increases cognitive load, especially when I have multiple apps open in multiple spaces on multiple screens. Not only that, but there's no quick and easy way to select a color from the pallete. Now you need to actually view the color itself, and then select which color values to use. This app has gone from a clean, streamlined highly usable utility that made my workflow quicker and efficient, into being completely unusable. It suffers from having too many ideas and too many features, when the previous version was absolutely perfect. It did 1 task, and it did it extremely well. Now... it's a mess.
