OVAL BALLS, HOT CPU!
Right. At first I liked the game, colors were vibrant and articulations was satisfactory, however the view was cut off, could not see the whole pool table, had to PAN to see where the balls were going!, and they were not round but oval. The stick could not alter it’s angle once one pulled back on it. People who play this game may change their angle as they pull back on the stick, so that’s another problem. My advise for real pool players here, if you would like to enjoy a complete virtual pool game that is also safe for your computer, then go up in price and get a better more accurate game. There is no excuse for oval shaped balls or heat waving the cpu. i finally had to cut the game short, turn off the Windows to cool, and throw the game in the trash after the heat wave, fan drastically accelerated, so what choice did I have!! They do not know what they are doing. Read other reviews to verify this. Don’t waste your money or your computer!
The very best pool app
I have been playing Real Pool 3D on my iPad for 4 years. No other pool app for iOS even comes close. So I decided to get it for my Windows. And guess what: no other pool app for PC even comes close. These developers really do know what they are doing. Their apps are perfect. I could compliment and rave about this app and other apps by these developers all night long, but I won’t, because the time you spend reading this is time you could be playing Real Pool 3D.
Good game, but a few bugs
While I do enjoy this game, the occasional flat out mistakes it makes come across almost as cheating. Balls going right to a pocket, and then stopping in a manner that’s coompletely unrealistic. A ball falling into a pocket as the game ignores and doesn’t count it. Occasionally completely locking up like it’s some sort of ancient bug ridden software. The CPU pretending it can’t break properly over and over again. Also, why do we have to have ‘identities' to play? That makes no sense, and is actually not really enjoyable at all.
Best physics for the $$
I have played many an electronic/software pool game and actual league 8-ball in NYC, and I think this game is fantastic for what it is and how much it costs. The background music is relaxing and the game play is simple and straightforward. Could use some more customizability and a better zoom feature, but the physics are good and the price is right.
