Snappy Overview
What is Snappy? Snappy is a screenshot app that allows users to take snapshots of their screen, annotate them with text, shapes, and more, and share them via URL links that can be encrypted with a password and set to self-destruct. The app also features a Snaps Library that keeps track of all the user's snaps on all their devices, as long as iCloud/Cloud Drive is enabled. Snappy is a seamless status bar app that can be activated with CMD+Shift+2 and is Slack-ready. The app also offers sharing options for email, Facebook, Twitter, Imgur, Pinterest, Dropbox, and Evernote. Snappy is available for Mac and iOS devices.
1. Snapshots that never leave your sight (until closed), complete with annotations, simple URL sharing or encrypted with self destruct - everything neatly organised in your library and synced across your devices.
2. Make sure to check all the other sharing options we have: Email, Facebook, Twitter, Imgur, Pinterest, Dropbox and Evernote.
3. The Snaps Library keeps track of your snaps on all your devices - as long as iCloud / Cloud Drive is enabled of course.
4. Using annotations you can highlight what is important and take notes right on the snap.
5. Send a URL of your snap to anyone via Snappy Link.
6. Snap something on your screen so you can easily reference.
7. The snap is always on top so you can focus on the content.
8. You can even encrypt it with a password and set a self destruct timer.
9. Create a new snap with CMD+Shift+2.
10. Sending snapshots to Slack has never been easier.
11. Snappy runs in the background as a seamless status bar app.

Best screenshot app ever
I have been using Snappy for several months now, and I have found it amazingly good. I was able to reconstruct a lecture video that had dropped out partway through. Using Snappy to capture the Powerpoint slide frames and adding them to the audio track in iMovie. Filling your desktop with screenshots or fiddling with Terminal to change the default folder is not needed.
Best Screenshot Tool
I have been taking online courses in art. Instead of taking notes as I watch videos, I stop the video at key points and take a snap. I can keep the snap, print the snap and include in in my snap library. I hope the app is updated regularly so I can continue use the app after each Microsoft future update.
No joke, one of the best apps I've ever used
Simple, lightning fast, relatively advanced, and free! Massive high five to the product and dev team! I'm not a fan of subscription services, but if you all add a feature for super speedy video capture with gif creation, I would easily pay $30 for this. Again, BRAVO!
Perfect replacement for Grab!
I was sorry to lose the old "Grab" application in the update to Catalina. This is even better than Grab--more intuitive and just as fast. I like the floating window and the easy delete. Thanks!
Please update, this program is still relevant
I prefer the way Snappy works compared to the normal Windows Snapshot. I've had a lot of users ask me "how'd you do that" when I used Snappy to quickly take a small snapshot of fields on my desktop then drag them slightly to the side as a reference. About a year ago, it stopped working when the focus wasn't on a certain screen, it returned a black box and then with the most recent Big Sur update, it started always showing a black box when I attempt to use it. If you start supporting this again, I'd know of about 12 users right off the bat who would gladly fork over the cost for this.
