PortsMonitor Overview

What is PortsMonitor? PortsMonitor is a system utility app that monitors system TCP/IP network connections by application and their status. It allows users to filter connections by search expression, profile, connection type, protocol type, and keywords. The app uses color to indicate the status of connections and provides Growl notifications for new connections. It also shows remote IP information with a map and allows users to whitelist Growl notifications. The app has an auto-refresh feature and can reveal applications in Finder.

    Works Great … missing the GEO IP Tool interface - presentation ?

    Works Great, would give it 5 stars if it had the Geo IP address built-in as the presentation suggests. - Caught a hacker in the first 30 seconds of using it, wish I didn’t have to waste time manually looking up the IP address though. - Great added feature would be to be able to terminate a network link/call/response based on Source or Destination IP Address, possibly based on Port in the future also.

    Crashes at open

    Opened the app, and it crashes on me every time. I deleted the app and redownloaded it, but it still crashes.

    Very good application

    This application gives you a real time view of network connections and it works well. I would give it 5 stars if it would also show the current speed in Mb/s or MB/s for each connection.

    Finally on Snow Leopard!

    I was frustrated with the initial version which could not get Snow Leopard compatible, while author got my response and make it come true. It's great! Thanks a lot.
