My Guilty Pleasure BUT -- there are issues
There are some reasons to not love this game. It's been around (in PC version) for a long time and the graphics aren't all that complex. The avatars for guests repeat so that you've got the same one for more than one guest at the same time (which doesn't make it more complicated -- just silly). And, on the Windows, it does blow up from time to time. (I'm running it on Lion using a PC w/ 8G.) BUT I LOVE THIS GAME. I PLAY IT OVER AND OVER. Can't explain why. But there you go. I'm revising this review after having run through all the levels. In the advanced levels there are action items that never take place. Guests -never- want their photo taken (an action for the bellboy; it is used in level 2, but not levels 3 or 4) or buy souvenirs (a level 4 option). You buy the photo-of piece (fountain or sculpture), buy the upgraded camera, but nothing ever happens to use them. I contacted realore and although the site promises a 48-hour response time, I never heard back. So I've lowered my rating from 4-stars to 2. This game is MUCH more fun on a PC than on the Windows. Shame.
Cheap Production, Inconsistent. Avoid.
Time-management games seem to be either a) addictive, polished, carefully tested and designed to make your own time disappear, or b) quickly-produced, formulaic ripoffs of those games. This is one of the latter. It's crashed several times already; the translations are poor, the mechanics, attention to detail and intangible FUN factor (which so often has to do with balance) are all lacking. Not remotely worth the $7 I paid.
Keeps Crashing
Horrible! Not Worth The Money
