How is "realistic mode" realistic?
Putting it short, an airplane falling out of the sky immediately after being shot from the catapult is NOT REALISTIC! Fix your PHYSICS!!! Oh and by the way, all of the gunship III games from this developer do the same thing. In the version from the viet cong side, I can't get my MiG off the ground. It just runs off the runway and BLOWS UP.
Can’t control plane
Can’t control the plane, just keeps crashing
Totally crap….what a waste of 5 bucks!
Flight deck fixed…mostly
Again, the game continues to improve. Fixed wing aircraft can once again land on the deck of USS Constellation. Now and then the landing gear will sink into the deck; raise and lower the landing gear to put yourself back on top of the deck. The addition of night flying is a great challenge. Landing on the deck of USS Constellation-in the dark-makes you feel like you’ve accomplished something.
Updates come too slow.
The game is really fun in multiplayer rooms - it’s the best part of the game. The problem is that the developers don’t release updates for all platforms in tandem. They will release updates for iOS but not for Windows OS. This means that Windows users are in limbo until the Windows update is released, which can take weeks. Windows players will still be able to connect to multiplayer rooms, but there will only be a few players there, since the majority of players seem to be on mobile devices.
Windows players purchase the game just like iOS players do, and it doesn’t seem like a good practice to release udpates that effectively break multiplayer for a segment of the games install base.
The game is loads of fun, but just be aware before you buy for Windows that you will not be a priority to the developers. If they would simply release updates for all platforms at the same time I would rate this game as four stars, but the practice of ignoring their Windows players earns a three star rating.
