Luxor HD Overview

What is Luxor HD? Luxor HD is a marble-shooter game that has been remastered for 64-bit Mac OS. The game involves stopping chains of colored spheres from reaching the pyramids by firing colored orbs into the chain to make matches of three or more and eliminate the spheres. The game features four different modes, power-ups, customizable controls, and bonus points. Luxor HD has 88 levels of marble-shooting puzzles and 25 all-new backgrounds. The game is developed by MumboJumbo and is available on the App Store.

Luxor HD Features and Description

1. Wielding your mystical winged-shooter, you must fire colored orbs into the chain to make matches of three or more, and eliminate the spheres from the chain.

2. Face off with the approaching spheres in four different game modes: Practice, Adventure, Survival, and Challenge of Horus.

3. Chains of colored spheres are working their way through ancient Egypt, and it’s up to you to stop them before they reach the pyramids.

4. Answer the call of the goddess, Isis, in this addictive marble-shooter game.

5. Clear out the entire chain, and you’ll work your way up to the next level.

    Update works great!! No more crashes.

    The update finally works like it should!! No more crashes. Now I can change my rating from 3 stars to 5 I have Luxor on my iPhone 4 and love playing the game. I really enjoy plaing the Windows version, too, but stability seems to be a problem. The only problem I have is that it seems to crash a lot. Get the crashing fixed and I would give it 5 stars. I am currently on level 5.4, so I am able to proceed to higher levels even after a crash.

    Stopped working

    I wish there was an option for no stars. This game worked fine for years. Now it opens, but when I click on any button it just beeps. The only way to close it is to force quit. I can’t find any information on the MumboJumbo web site. The help functions there don’t work unless you set up an account. I can’t find anything on the web about this problem. This has been going on for months. I fixed it once by deleting the game and re-downloading from the Microsoft App store, but that doesn’t fix it now. I can’t be the only one with this problem. Why is it not being addressed?

    I really like this game and play it a lot but I am very disappointed that the High Scores option does not work. I have many times been higher than the high score now listed yet my score is never recorded. And the high score reset does not work either. Such a nice game and yet it does not work totally right. Is any fix for this coming????

    Fixed.

    The update claims to fix an issue in Lion, but ever since I installed it, the crashes Luxor HD was so extremely prone to in Snow Leopard have stopped. So, while I can't speak for what's happening in Lion, I can say if you're running 10.6.8, you should be able to play crash-free now. It's a very addictive game, so I'm certainly glad of that.
