What is Sudoku+? Sudoku+ by Brainium is a classic Sudoku game available for Mac users. It offers a clear and easy-to-read Sudoku board with visual guides, making it easy to glance at the possibilities. The input system is designed to make entering solutions and notes simple with mouse or keyboard controls. The game has five difficulty levels, an endless collection of puzzles, game statistics, and full-screen and window resizing freedom. It also has unlimited undo/redo, auto-clear notes and error-checking options, automatic save and resume, advanced game options, notes and hint system, five themes, sensible keyboard shortcut keys, OneTouch system for number entry, challenge friends via email, and leaderboards.     Great!

    After trying at least a dozen other Sudoku apps, I was very pleased to find the Brainium Sudoku! It is very user-friendly, and has a "highlight" feature that enables the user to click on any number and easily identify where those numbers are on the board---awesome. And, I have yet to 'crack' an Expert level so I remain interested and enthused! Thanks Brainium!!

    Sudoku +

    The application is better than anything else I have found for the Windows. Having just come from the PC world, I am used to Simple Sudoku, which allows filtering by individual numbers or by pairs, so that you can more easily spot patterns. It also allows color tagging so that chains can be set up to spot when a number overlaps itself. I do like the fact that it clears the notes when a number is entered. I work these things for the logical challenge & so anything that helps with the "housekeeping" is a plus.

    Nice, but room for improvement

    Ergonomics suggests that placing the digits 1-9 off to the R or L side is easier on the wrist than moving the hand clear down south to select a digit. One might also simply click anywhere on the board twice rapidly to enable the pencil mode with a noticeable color change or hue change to signal the user that they are still in the pencil mode and then let the user click on a larger pencil symbol once to exit that mode. Otherwise, I like it a lot.

    App could be a little better

    I love this game, and have played a few different online versions. This one is handy in that you can drop down the numbers and reach the number you want from the square you want to put it in. What isn't helpful is that there's no way of wiping clean all the pencil marks when you want to start over. I ended up having to ask for a hint and just playing through the pencil marks.

    Love this Sudoku

    But one of the functions is missing on my laptop and desktop that is available to me on my iPad and phone. If I try to mark a square with a number and it is already in that row, the number won't appear and flashes where it is already in the row. This doesn't happen on the laptop and desktop. I've tried a number of times to delete the game and restore a new version. Hasn't worked. Not unmanageable. Just makes me work harder.
