HBClock Features and Description

1. Here you get a beautiful, lovingly made clock with a sleek, simple design, but with a lot of setting options to design your very individual desk, just the way you like it.

2. Whether huge or mini, whether transparent or in the station style, you will probably hear the sentence more often: "It really works.

3. It's fun to design the clock and adapt it to your own wallpaper.

4. And it's very easy and clear in the menus.

Pros:

  • • Transluscency (transparency) option.
  • • Option to make clock unclickable.
  • • Clock doesn’t take space in command-tab app-switcher, nor in dock.
  • • Minimalist design (not too many skeuomorphic decorations).
  • • Very resizeable.

    Great little desk clock.

Love it! It does what I need it to do. A few requests however… 1) A custom date format for example 21-JAN-17 or similar. 2) The ability to separately change colors for the minute and hours tick marks in digital and analog mode... For example make hour tick marks red, and make minute tick marks yellow. 3) The ability to change weekend day colors to red. For example make Sunday and Staruday show up in red or other colors. 4) And maybe less CPU usage, at the moment it uses 2-5%. THANKS!

A Nice Clock with Several Options

I've been trying several clock apps and have yet to find a really great one. They all seem to lack one or another feature that is important to me. UBClock is no exception, but it comes closer than most others. Zoom in on the screen shots to get an idea of options to configure. It has only a couple of faces, but the basic analog face is a clean simple one, not particuarly elegant (like the Swiss Railway clock) be it's serviceable enough. You have choice of second hands but there's not a lot of choice beyond color. Just about every aspect of a face can have it's color customized, so the hands, background, date, and time can *all* be different colors, if that's your preference. There's an opacity slider for the background (clock face) which I *always* find useful. But unchecking a box removes the clock border and background entirely, leaving just the indices (minute markers) hands, and the day and date, if selected. One of the optons for the second hand motion is Liner Engine. Bascially, this an ulra-smooth sweep motion of the second hand as on old style electric clocks, even smother than you'd see on a Rolex watch.. That is very elegant. The other options are variations of the more common tick-tick-tick motion. On the slightly negative side, the dot-matrix font for the Day and the LED-segment font for the date are totally out of place for an analog clock, and there are no options to replace them. The abbreviation of the Day is also inelegant. The year portion of the date seems totally unnecessary in this particular application. I'd like to see the days spelled out completely in Helvetica Neue Ultralight, and maybe another, slightly bolder font for those who don't like HNUL. Instead of the various numeric representations for the Date, I'd like to see just the month (spelled out) and date, in the same font as the Day. For example: January 1 (with NO leading zero). All in all, this a fairly versitile clock app, easily worth the price.

    Nice, but issues.

I like the clock, but at least once a day it completely disappears and I have to open the preferences and click the "Center Clock" button to get it to reappear. Sort of defeats the purpose. I normally would have asked for support URL is invalid. For the price and am not really complaining but it would be nice to fix this issue.

    THIS IS AN EXCELLENT CLOCK

With many options the other clock apps do not have; and I have SEVERAL clock apps. I don't always use clock apps, but when I do I use UBClock!
