Useful, small, but minor flaws compromise it
Just what I needed for highlighting during demos. I haven't used it over an Adobe Connect screensharing session yet, so I don't know whether it will work well in that context. However, when showing my screen on a large monitor, this will help quite a bit. LIMITATIONS: - It would be handy to be able to enable/disable the functionality from an icon in the menubar, but the app doesn't use an icon in the menu bar. - Thus, you need to launch the app to have the functionality ready, and quit it when you're done. - You can't specify the on/off shortcut keys, and the ones (Opt-Cmd) chosen conflict with shortcuts used in other apps. This is one of the reasons you may need to enable/disable the functionality entirely, and currently you can only do that by launching and quitting the app. - The name of the app is obscure, and since I need to launch it and quit it frequently, having a name that's easier to remember would be helpful! Otherwise, the app is very simple and does exactly what I need.
Great, but could use some polish
This app is extremely handy when doing a presentation (especially over webex or on a projector). Would be a lot slicker if it had some animations. For example, fade the mask in, zoom the hole out (like an iris), etc. If it were possible to hide the mouse when the spotlight is on, that would be even better.
Very nice for single display systems
This is a nice focused app that's dead simple to use and is great for finding your mouse on large displays. The only nit is that it works only on your primary display. Any other displays are not dimmed and the spotlight disappears when the mouse pointer is moved to these other displays. Still, it's quite useful. Kudos and thanks to the author!
Great App!
Super-simple app really helps when using the cursor from far away. Just wish the app would let you set the hotkeys for activating the settings and toggling the effect, or at least remind you what they are at some point. But you can't beat free or this sort of thing.
