What is Statics (Civil Engineering)? Statics is a mobile app designed for engineers, architects, and building science students. It is a fast standard beam solver that calculates moments, shears, axial forces, rotations, and lowerings for various types of beams loaded with forces, moments, and distributed loads. The app suggests input parameters and allows users to choose between metric and imperial units. It also enables users to design and check steel beams using common steel sections and control the maximum lowering allowed. The app includes a list of standard equations used to solve the beams. Statics was developed by Mattia Campolese, a former Civil Engineer from Lanciano, Italy, with a passion for software development.
