The game features three different gameplay modes, including turn-based strategy map, real-time battles, and attack and defend forts and trains in FPS mode. Players can personalize their experience with a variety of options available to activate. The game also allows players to discover various episodes in the history of the American Civil War by choosing which year to start in. The game supports a full two-player mode that allows players to face their friends in real-time battles and FPS sequences.
