Spaces. Overview

What is Spaces.? Spaces is a note-taking app that allows users to pin, archive, add to favorites, or mark notes as unread. Users can sort their content into spaces using hashtags. The app offers a smart toolbar that suggests tags based on usage and hides Markdown syntax when the cursor is moved away. Spaces also offers unlimited nesting, focus mode, and the ability to reference other notes using brackets. The app is private and secure, using Apple Cloudkit to sync data between devices. It offers 15+ handcrafted themes, 25+ custom app icons, and multiple editor formatting options. The app is designed for capturing thoughts, writing essays, notes, blog posts, and prose, adding and tracking todos and tasks, writing class notes, meeting notes, and other important texts, and jotting down recipes, grocery lists, plans, and more.

    Looking amazing

    Very promising and already a favorite. The only feature I believe this app needs is the ability to hide the notes within certain spaces (more categories) if they are specific or need to be filed away. But also not yet archived. Just an idea. Also end-to-end encryption would be good. I don’t want to put highly personal information in any app which lacks this. This is crucial to “really” say you have privacy and security. Although, no doubt this app is private from a less staunch point of view. Anyways thanks for the awesome app I love it overall, keep up the great work on this! :)

    Lost all my notes due to recent update

    Started off well up until they moved storage. I get it was a nessisary thing but the users/community wasn’t told that it could possibly wipe out our notes. I had migrated my notes from Microsoft notes to Spaces and now because of the update my notes are gone. I trusted this app to be stable since it was no longer in beta and so I made the mistake of using this app to plan mine and my fiancé’s wedding. All gone. In contact with dev to try and find a solution. Update: I lost hope on this app unfortunately. Nothing got restored, all notes are still gone. This app had potential but at its current state shouldn’t be charging $35, let alone shouldn’t be out of beta with all the issues. Microsoft refunded me and I used that refund to subscribe to Bear app.

    May be OK

    Initially tinkering with the Windows trial version seem to be OK but: 1. No support attachments other than photos/images 2. Copied a link to a note and inserted in Reminders. Clicking on the link opened a different note. 3. Does not support the Share extension. 4. Sync is not available in the trial version, unlike most other software. With the negative comments from other reviews, I would not pay a subscription fee before trying out sync and making sure it works properly. So, not for me (for now).

    Crazy good!

    Runs smoothly and essentially has a pick of all the best features from the top note/writing apps. Line highlighting, back links and superb markdown experience. Organization is a breeze and I can easily separate todos and my actual writing. Definitely try it out for yourself (especially with pro which is super cheap!)

    A promising start

    I like the design and the functionality. It’s missing some features such as Tex/Mathjax and full iPad keyboard support (no keyboard shortcuts, trackpad gestures etc). However, both features seem to be on the roadmap. I hope devs will keep supporting this app into the future. So far the devs seem to be active with frequent updates so it looks promising.
