    Great Value

I'm using this to sketch out product roadmap overviews. It's extremely easy to use, and it's very fast to put together a quick timeline, unlike most other solutions I've tried.

    (Nearly) perfect!

Why do Gantt charts have to be so text and formula heavy and unpleasant to look at? TimeStory solves that problem making planning accessible for the visually inclined. I have been looking for something like this for month and am thrilled to have found this app. My only critique would be that it would be nice for blocks of 1 day to be able to insert even 2 letters of text (rather than the '...'). Even when I shrink it down to 10pt text it still just shows the dots. And perhaps a little bit more flexibility on the points so that can fit into a single date rather than between two days (I use them as feedback points in my production schedule). Otherwise, brilliant!

Just what I was looking for

I have been looking for an app that can show on a timeline the components of my life, and this does it. Under one section called Family I have my parents, spouse, and kids spanned out on the timeline, providing a visual comparison of who lived when and for how long. I have another category called Employment with my career mapped out along the timeline. Another category is Education, showing which schools I attended. Another category is Houses, showing the addresses where I lived and when. The Travel category has my travels laid out on the timeline. Other categories are Cars, Motorcycles, Computers, Cameras. TimeStory is a very useful app and very different from other timeline apps I've used. It's easy to figure out, but the documentation and HELP is excellent. Best of all, the developer is quick to respond to suggestions so this app has a bright future. If you're not sure about spending the $$, then be sure to download the free trial app on the developer's website.

    Finally Found What I Needed!

I'm a web designer and needed a simple method of tracking my projects and tasks. I spent hours trying various project management systems and gantt chart apps, and none of them fit my needs. All were either way too complicated, were overkill for my needs, or had confusing interfaces. Finally I found TimeStory and it allows me to do exactly what I want...create customizable timelines for various projects. The only suggestions I'd make at this point are to try to improve the font rendering (it's a bit rough), and make the drag-n-drop interface smoother. One feature request is to add an option to show the date range in each section, auto-generated based on the duration of the tasks/items within the timeline. Also, will the app run on Windows os more recent than Mojave? Thanks for this great tool!

Great, just what I was looking for

For those of us who have 30 projects and multiple events going on each day, it'll untwist your brain. Only thing I would add is in the "quick add event" would be the ability to set the color for THAT event. Then similar events (with the same color) in different sections would be easier to see at a glance. Sometimes my events are so short I can't tell what they are without clicking on them.
