Smart Card Utility Overview

What is Smart Card Utility? The Smart Card Utility app enables smart card authentication to various websites and applications, including Office 365, Webmail, Teams, and more, via Safari on iOS devices. It allows military and government employees to access CAC protected websites on their iPhone or iPad by simply plugging in their existing PIV-enabled smart card and logging in. The app provides fast login and access to resources using the CAC smart card, making it easy to stay connected wherever you are. It is compatible with various military and civilian websites, including myPay, Defense Travel System, JKO Learning Management, Tricare Health Care, and more.

Smart Card Utility Features and Description

1. Smart Card Utility is used by members of Air Force, Navy, Marines, Army, Coast Guard, and other military/government employees to access CAC protected websites on their iPhone or iPad.

2. Using your iPhone and iPad and Smart Card Utility, it takes seconds to turn on and access websites, Teams, Office 365 and more using your CAC smart card.

3. Smart Card Utility enables smart card authentication to Office 365, Webmail, Teams, and most other CAC protected websites via Safari.

4. Use your smart card right on your iPhone or iPad to access your web mail using your CAC or PIV card.

5. Login fast with your CAC card and Smart Card Utility Readers for iOS and iPhone.

6. Smart Card Utility makes it simple to use the device you have with you to keep you connected.

7. Just plug in your existing PIV-enabled smart card and log in.

8. Forget about waiting to get back to your laptop to check your email, verify your paycheck, take a course, or respond to a message on Teams.

9. Leave your laptop behind and stop waiting in line to check your email on a shared PC.

10. Forget about waiting for 20 minute for your laptop to boot up, log in and launch apps.

    Doesn't work in Big Sur

    Doesn't work in big sur, only thinkg that works if pop up asking for 10 dollars.

    Worked great on Catalina now after the update it doesnt work at all. This is very frustrating.

    App Works as expected

    I am on 2 different machines (one with M1 and other that is intel CPU) Both running BigSur and version 2.7 of the Smart Card Utiliy. App reads my Smartcard (DoD CAC) with no issues. This is a wonderful tool and has been very helpful in using my CAC with the native Smartcard support again builtin to PC. It is very helpful to know the remaining pin attempts and to be able to see the details of the certificates on my CAC. Keep up the great work twocanoes!!

    Great App

    Tested with Yubikey NFC and Lightning, working fine with Safari Client Certificate Authentication. The missing star is for not supporting alphanumeric+symbols PINs, only numerical PINs are supported

    C-45 BLE 301 Reader

    Tim and TwoCanoes are fantastic to work with and customer support was second to none. I had an issue for a little bit with my new reader and Tim ended up working with me directly to ensure we found a solution and that things eventually checked out. Well after some trying and working back and forth, testing the reader through TestFlight, emailing and a Zoom meeting, we had a fix/solution to the problem. Tim is great and know that if you ever need support with one of his products, he will respond and help out. I’m so pleased with the outcome as I can now access certain sites directly from Safari that enable so many options in terms of mobility and connectivity. Great job TwoCanoes😎
