Intermission Overview

What is Intermission? Intermission (formerly Breaks For Eyes) is an app that helps users avoid the negative side effects of prolonged screen time, such as headaches, eye pain, and burnout. The app blocks the screen every 20 minutes for 20 seconds, but users can customize the frequency and duration of breaks, as well as the message that appears during the break. The app can be snoozed for a set amount of time and can send notifications before starting a break. Intermission is available for a free 7-day trial and can be purchased for a one-time fee. It also supports Family Sharing. Users can contact the developer for support or feedback.

The App I was looking for

It really helps me to make breaks for my eyes, and as a bonus I can recharge my mind to be more prodactive. Every break for me is like a small meditation, so I spend this time alone with my breath :) It works for me perfectly. Thanks to the developers for such a good application!

    TERRIBLE

No options to customize and had to go to activity monitor to delete background before being able to trash the app.

    Annoying

wish I knew how to cancel this app pops up right when I don't want it to. it does go away but only after you argue with it. breaks my concentration too often.

    new update

new update is much better, can skip a break early instead of getting surprised

    Eyes and body!

Working from home I have found I don't move once at my desk so not only has this app helped me change my view to help my eyes but I usually get up to stretch, walk or get some water. It's super easy to pause or skip if you have meetings. The only thing and maybe I just don't know it is I wish there was a keyboard shortcut to get back to your screen after a break.
