Classroom Overview
What is Classroom? Classroom is an app that turns a Mac into a teaching assistant, allowing teachers to guide students through a lesson, monitor their progress, and keep them on track. It enables teachers to launch the same app on every student iPad or Mac simultaneously or launch different apps for each group of students. Classroom allows teachers to assign shared iPads to students, start, focus, or pause student work, see what students see with Screen View, share documents and links with the class using AirDrop, share student work on the classroom Apple TV, reset forgotten passwords, and organize students using groups. It is suitable for use with both 1:1 and Shared iPad student devices and supports IT-managed classes or teacher-created classes. The app requires a Mac with macOS 11.3 or later for the teacher and an iPad with iOS 14.4 or later for the students, with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled on both devices. All actions take place over the local network only.
