Shadowsocks X Overview

What is Shadowsocks X? The app supports Shadowsocks, ShadowsocksR, http, https, and socks5 proxies. It is free to use and easy to set up. The app offers four modes: Auto Mode, Global Mode, Oversea Mode, and Blacklist Mode. It is compatible with Shadowsocks and ShadowsocksR, supports HTTP, HTTPS, and SOCKS proxies, and has a Junk AD Block feature. The app is lightweight, less than 3mb, and supports sharing with QR code. Shadowsocks X Features and Description

1. Auto Mode (recommended): all sites in GFW List would be accessed via ss server, while the rest accessed directly.You can also add customized sites to Custom Rules so they can be accessed via ss server as well.

2. Global Mode: all sites are accessed via ss server.

3. Setup the socks5 proxy.

5. Oversea Mode: for Oversea students that want to access services in the mainland.

6. This mode needs to be configured with a mainland server.

7. Blacklist Mode: all sites are accessed via ss server, except those in Custom Rules, some people also call this Whitelist Mode, this rule file is a different one from Auto Mode.

    I’m an express user and can’t even use that service more than 5 minutes at home. Socks rocks - get real speeds and virtually no drops = works anywhere and dont even have to wait for a connection. Best is their customer support actually listens and fixes problems - they understand CN users better. App is super easy to set up; youll have some instructions pop up once you download and activate. Takes about 1 minute without a degree in networking. Tip: try to find the non-store app or contact them for that. Will save a little trouble later.

    One Of The Best Apps I Have Ever Used

    I had such a great experience using Shadowsocks for the last couple months. The servers are also so stable with high speed and other great functionalities. I never had a problem using it, and the customer support is always super kind and patient to me. Definitely a five-star+ App!

    Great VPN

    Great easy App to use with excellent customer service support! They reply to me ASAP everytime i need help with the server and even help me retreive my password in mins. I can finally use Google and FB in China without getting any lags or getting kicked out.

    Creepy Ap

    I followed the directions and bought server for $9.99. Now it doesn’t recognize my purchase and wants me to pay again, even though my Microsoft account confirms they charged me. Also I noticed the log on window has a logo that is labeled ‘Kim Jong Un’. Yeah that is the dictator of North Korea. So, perhaps this is a money making scheme for North Korea. I wouldnt trust it. As soon as my purchase goes from pending to active, I am going to cancel. Don’t waster your money!
