Cardhop Overview
What is Cardhop? Cardhop is a contacts management app that allows users to search, add, edit, and interact with their contacts using a simple sentence. The app features a magical parsing engine that is intuitive and easy to use. Users can open Cardhop with a single click or keystroke, type in the details for their contact, and press return. The app works with existing macOS contacts and requires no configuration. Cardhop also includes powerful actions such as call, copy, invite, relationships, directions, email, FaceTime, and more. The app is available on Mac, iPhone, and iPad, and offers a beautiful and simple menu bar design. Users can also print customized envelopes, labels, and lists of contacts, and enjoy dark and light themes. Cardhop is free to try, but some widget actions require a Flexibits Premium subscription.
1. Or enter “Sarah Smith [email protected]” and Cardhop will add a new contact to Sarah’s card.
2. Until now, managing and interacting with your contacts has been a real frustration.
3. Just type in “John G” and John’s card will instantly appear.
4. Cardhop — the contacts app you’ll want to use.
5. • Even better, some actions are flexible.

Great
This app is great, i have been using it with outlook and office 365, it works awesome. There are still some minor issues with parsing from time to time, but its getting better. Would love to see in the future updates a bit more duplicate contact options. It seems to work well if the name matches and the contact exists already allowing you to update missing fields automatically. Although i would like to see this work better off email addresses and existing phone numbers as well. For example if i have a John G contact with only an email address, then i add the entire contact John Good, it wont find the original based on the same email addresses or phone numbers, at least from what i have seen. This would be cool to have. The ability to scan and merge existing duplicate contacts would great.
Just get it already!
Love it! Ever since CoBook got wrecked by Full Contact I’ve been on the hunt for a solid Windows Contact Addess Book. I’m happy to say that Flexibits did their homework! It works just like Fantastical. Highlight some text and their artificial intelligence sorts out what goes where. You can see and modify the results as needed. It addresses many of the short cuts of Microsoft’s Contacts App - like not being able to add notes without first adding a contact and then editing the fields. I like this menu bar accessibility. I do wish the app had BusyContacts robust layout window, but you can use both apps for the best of both worlds. If the developers are reading this… - Please add option to turn off birthdays, or at least change the order (ie I don’t want to see a zillion birthdays before I can see their contact info). - The Always Show Account on Contact Card - what is this? Seems to be iconic flags saying where the contact originated from. Can you tell if I created it on my Windows vs iPhone? Not sure what this is or what the options are. Maybe a tool tip? It seems random as to which contacts get the account treatment. - Would be cool if you added some integration for contact cleaning (duplicates, blanks) or the ability to archive unused ones.
App is not yet viable for business use
I agree with other reviewers saying this is perhaps the easiest way to access existing contacts. It is quick and intuitive. That said, I also find entering new contact information from business cards or emails to be incredibly painful. The “magical parsing engine” doesn’t recognize labels for telephone numbers, doesn’t acknowledge line breaks, insists on defaulting all information to “Home” labels and, if there is a first, middle or last name shared with an existing contact, Cardhop will not allow you to add a new contact - only update an incorrect match to an older contact. It also can’t recognize city and country names (at least non-US names, in my experience), despite having address formats to customize for nearly every country in the world. The most recent update - Version 1.0.2 - seems to have introduced even more pain. Changing labels for phone numbers frequently deletes the number just entered, and I find the labels reverting back after the card is closed. What a nightmare! The developers asked for more information as a follow-up to my first suggestion that their parsing is ineffective. They get points for that. I have just supplied some concrete examples, and if they come back with improvements, I’d be happy to revise the rating. If you have no need to enter new contacts, perhaps this is your App. But for that purpose alone, look to something else.
Annoying that names dont sync for me
I was having the challenge that I moved everything to sync in iCloud. But when people would text me their name wouldn't show up...just the phone number. I would have to re-enter them as a new contact...despite it showing up in the Microsoft Address book. Looking at what I could sync on CardHop showed me everhthing but iCloud for my contacts to sync to (I have it synching with Google as well...and even exported all those contacts into contacts on my Windows and icloud.... didn't fix a thing) so I find it kind of usefull, but it annoys me enough I have to stop using it. I have talked to them about it and they give me solutions that simply dont work. Sigh!!! But I am sure it will most likely work for you. I am just a case that failed.
