Needs a few tweaks but otherwise good so far

I have been looking for a way to organize all of my daily/weekly/future tasks into different lists and set reminders to do them and this fits almost perfectly. I wish the custom options let me pick specific days and that there was a "weekdays" option. It would also be nice to have an integration to send an email reminder with the notifications, as I often have my phone silenced due to my job. (Teaching middle school. 😬) And I like having subtasks within a larger task, but being able to collapse the subtasks when I'm not viewing them would help me focus and stay organized. It would also be cool to have a note taking feature so I can list out anything I need, links to online meetings, etc. This would work well for sharing lists with others using the app, so you could send out a meeting or project deadline or whatever task needs to be brought to their attention but it requires some brief explanation or resources. I am looking for resources to use with my students next year to help them stay organized and this app is almost there. (Mayhaps offering a education plan would be advantageous? I know I would put some of my budget toward it. 😁)

    Getting Worse

6.7.20 Update. Heard back from developer after my review and they suggested I log out of the App and then back in. This corrected the issue of the App jumbling the order of my list items. Has not happened since. Appreciate the support. Have updated rating. Pocket List used to meet my list making needs. About one year ago I signed into the Pocket List web page to use the app both on my phone and desktop computer. Ever since then the app has had a mind of its own and can no longer be trusted. I have a very important list of items I need to take with me in an emergency. I need this list in a specific order. When I organize the list, Pocket List jumbles it after getting out of the list or sometimes right in front of my eyes. This issue also happens on other lists that I use but not all of them. I am just using the free version and not the subscription. I also logged out of the web page to make my phone app the only data entry tool. I e-mailed Pocket List customer support about the issue, they read the communication but never responded. Unfortunately I have had to look for other list app’s that might be more reliable.

    Only one complaint

I have been using this app for a couple of years now and love it. Love its design, and it’s efficiency. Works very well in my life. My only complaint is with the dictation feature. It does not stay active in order for me to make a full statement. For example if I want to dictate “angel food cake“, I’m lucky if the dictation will capture “Angel“. This is very frustrating as it is very common for me to need to speak multiple things into one item. “Toilet paper“, maybe only dictates “toilet”. “Strawberry shortcake”, may only pick up “straw”. I have to repeatedly press the mic button to try to get the rest of my item in. And what ends up happening is I have to type, which defeats the purpose of the dictation feature. All my other apps allow me to dictate multiple sentences and paragraphs. This is the only app that has this glitch. If this glitch could get repaired I would give this five stars and never look back.

Looks decent but not worth subscription

Updated review 3/8/19 Received response from the developer which is appreciated. I did not notice the lifetime membership option under the subscription options (maybe because it’s a different color option). I just signed up for the trial and will see, if it works out, will definitely do the lifetime subscription. #######%## Yet another developer pushing a subscription on us. We all know that Microsoft held those secret meetings where they told developers to push the subscription model on their users. This will eventually blow up back on you guys. I guess that Microsoft thinks that since we can afford their phones, we must be ok with every app having a subscription model. I am willing to pay a higher price up front for an app but definitely not a recurring subscription for every app that I have. I am definitely not willing to pay a subscription for this app as it’s not worth it to me. This like other apps, does not need to be a subscription. You just lost a potential customer. DELETED. Back to my beloved home things3
