PocketTube Overview

What is PocketTube? The Youtube PocketTube extension allows users to create collections of Youtube channels based on topics, add custom icons to collections, and view the latest videos from those collections. It also offers integration with the Youtube main page and left tab, video filters by topic, sorting options, and the ability to hide watched videos and search results. The extension is designed to help users manage their Youtube subscriptions and catch up on their favorite channels. It is the only extension that works after the latest Youtube update and can be contacted for issues or suggestions via email.

    AVOID

    As soon as i downloaded PocketTube my PC halted to ridicuously slow speeds. This was for my entire desktop, no matter which application I was running. I toggled off the PocketTube safari extension and my computer was instantly back to fast speeds. I turned it back on and my computer could hardly move the mouse or close out of apps. I uninstalled PocketTube and moved to trash and now my computer works like new again. I just got this PC less than a week ago so it was 100% this extension. Might be malware. Avoid this.

    Great, but I have a privacy concern

    Great extension. YouTube used to have this essential functionality built-in years back until they decided to get rid of user's controlling what they see in favor of algorithmic manipulation. My only question mark about this extension is does it have access to a user's contact list? In the Subscription Groups field, typing in a letter and waiting a half second brings up a popup with your contacts' names prefilled. Very bizarre for this type of extension to have any access to your Contacts.

    Love!

    I had never used this because I thought it was only for Chrome browsers... I was told in a YouTube comment (by Dmitri Nabok or a relative of his, actually) that it works with other browsers too. I immediately downloaded it, and am thrilled... no more having a long random list of subscriptions; before PocketTube, I had to be very selective about what channels I subscribed to because I didn't want the list to become unmanageable. Easy to use, couldn't ask for better. Thank you!

    A must for youtube

    If you have alot of youtube subscriptions this is a must have tool for organizing and catoragizing. I have been using it for year on Chrome and loved it. Switched to Safari full time now that this is available for Safari. A must have.
