What is Chat? Chat for Hangouts is a Mac desktop client for Google Hangouts that supports messaging, free video calls, photo sharing, emojis, stickers, and more. It has a polished Mac-style user interface and offers message notifications in the desktop, dock, and menu bar. The app also has a do not disturb mode, custom hotkeys, and the option to show or hide the dock and menu bar icons. It is a standalone native Mac app that works outside of Chrome and has minimal memory and CPU consumption. Other features include seamless integration with Mac workflow, group conversations, Hangouts voice calls, drag and drop photo sharing, status messages, and instant search for new contacts.     Video call doesn’t work

    Hello I have had this app for a week I tried to video call with a friend but it wouldn’t work. Also I have had the app on my phone for years but it seems the only thing on the app is the video not the sound. If any figured out how can get the video call work I much appreciate the help.

    Window Resets After Quitting

    If I move, resize & position the window it works as expected… However once I quit the app and re-open, all window positioning and re-sizng is lost… Meaning I have to manually re-size & re-posoition the window every time I launch it…. Annoying...

    Frequently Stops Responding

    I like the app. However, it is frequently locked up or not responding so almost every time I use it, i have to completely close out of it and reopen to re-establish a connection.

    Videos don’t work, Chat works spotty

    I’ve used this for a week straight and I’m less than impressed. I’m missing chats, can’t connect to video hangouts and not getting notifications.

    Images won't appear

    I like the app for the fact that it acts as its own and sends me notifications better than just through a brower. The main problem I have is the fact that I can't get images from G Suite accounts. I still have to open up a browser and view the picture there. With an app I had to pay money for, these features should be connected and seamless from browser to app. Disappointed.
