BookMarkable Overview
What is BookMarkable? BookMarkable is an app that allows users to create links to documents, files, folders, emails, calendar events, and even database entries with the help of application-specific plugins. The app makes it easy to embed links in other documents or applications. BookMarkable offers a range of options for referencing links in other applications, including simple web-like links and rich text and HTML-based links with embedded previews. The app works with any application that can handle embedded links or files, but it works especially well with Evernote, turning it into a killer project management tool. BookMarkable offers a great alternative to browser-specific bookmarks, as each bookmark contains a preview, comment field, and can be tied to a specific browser or application.
1. Furthermore, BookMarkable bookmark is more then just a mere link, it includes item's preview or screenshot and information about which application should open the link.
2. Although BookMarkable will work with any application that can handle embedded links or files, Evernote works especially well.

Requires Users to Create Own Plugins
This would be really useful, but it requires users to create our own plugins. The instructions on the support site don't really explain how. The sample plugin text doesn't explain either.
This is the future (seriously)!!
Deep linking using URL schemes to allow access to specific parts/records of folders/directories, sites, and (most importantly) apps is the way of the future. And this little lightweight $2.99 app is one of the only options out there for doing things like this. Obviously you can drag and create bookmarks for web sites or web apps. But take this small example of why I think it is exciting: I can click a link in my “to-do” list program and have it automatically open my mind mapping program at specific node/bubble in a mind map, while also triggering an associated email draft that I needed to finish all at once. Being able to open apps and specific web pages is cool, but take the time to see how you can benefit from direct links to specific files, and components within those files. I know this app isnt too focused on URL schemes and making actionable links quite yet, but I feel like he is really close to a groundbreaking app if only someone would recognize the potential and fund it. Imagine if the app had the ability to build URLs using URL schemes of know apps and allow for inter-app functionality never seen before. Pair this with an iOS clone then it would really take off give the success of Launch Center Pro and Workflow! Basically, if you want an app that can be super simple to use and just drag and drop websites and folder locations…this is a perfect app for that. If you want to start to link to specific emails from within your documents or have links in those documents that open the calendar app to the specific appointment…this is also the app for that. There is growth for the user to be had from the simple drag and drop interface to the potential deep-linking possibilities …. and hopefully the creator will see that there is room for this concept to grow as well. Best 2.99 program there is. -Matthias
