5. This small application with the QuickLook plugin is the ideal companion for your DICOM viewer application.

6. You can ask your doctor or the imaging center to provide you a CD/DVD or a USB stick with the images, in DICOM format.

7. All these equipments produce images in DICOM format.

8. This is similar to the way that image formats such as JPEG can also have embedded tags to identify and otherwise describe the image.
