Design, Options, Operation - The Weather Forecast Your Way!

Whether clicking from the dock, or the menu bar’s numerical temperature value, Forecast Bar opens into a beautifully-designed, two-panel weather display. The upper panel shows numerical high & low temps, while the (optional) lower panel graphs an 8-hour forecast. Upper and lower panels are both aesthetically and informationally customizable. Click anywhere on the upper panel to add an adjoining window of data point tiles. Drag to rearrange: Cloud Cover, Humidity, UV Index, Visibility, Wind Speed, Wind Chill, Sunrise, Sunset, Moonrise, Moonset, Moon Phase, Dew Point, Pressure, and Heat Index. Click anywhere on the lower panel to graph an adjoining 17-hour forecast, which includes: Precipitation, Wind, Humidity, and UV Index. There’s an array of behind-the-scenes options: multiple locations, weather data source, language, dark mode, background, graphing style, text color, icons, severe-weather notifications, and more. Forecast Bar is a subscription-based weather app. There are a variety of plans that are based on an automatic data-update rate. See ‘In-App Purchases’ for details. A data-update button in the app can additionally be used to manually update weather data. I give Forecast Bar a perfect “5” for: outstanding informational design, variety of custom options, ease of operation. Have a question, maybe an idea for the app, email the development team of two. They do respond! --Jeff - Clovis CA

Was (PAST TENSE) a GRAT app. Now, I’m looking for anther app.

I’ve been usig Foreast Bar on my Windows, iPhone and Microsoft watch for years and it has been the best weather app. Very reliable. I still use the app on my iPhone and on my watch, but the Windows app is useless (I’ve switched to Carrot weather). The app on the menu bar used to show the weather conditions and the current temperature. Now, It only shows an icon that isn’t even accurate. At my current location we will be currently experiencing heavy thunderstorms, yet the icon shows cloudy. In order to get the accurate weather I have to open the app. The reason that I loved Forecast Bar was beacuse I could see the current weather while I could continue to work on my laptop. Now, if I want to see the weather conditions I have to stop what I’m doing and open the full app. What’s the point of having aything that doesn’t work taking space on my menu bar. I’ve deleted the app app and installed Carrot Weather which does what Forecast Bar used to do. My ipHone/watch app expires next month and I’m currently looking for a reliable app that works on all three. If I find that app and Forecast Bar does not fix the Windows glithch by then I will not renew my Phone/watch app and I’ll switch to theother app. I hope that Forecast Bar developers read the reviews and fix this issue because I really like Forecast Bar, but I won’t pay for something that doesn’t work.

    Meteorologist Approved

I'm in meteorology and I am highly impressed with this weather app. I'm a big skeptic of weather apps but this one has many features that might be overlooked by the average weather app user. When I heard of this app I did what a meteorologist does and looked up where they get their weather information. Forecast Bar uses two different weather data sources, and the cooliest part is they let you pick the data source in the settings. The cost for the upgraded services is far cheaper than the weather apps I currently use for radar. And this app provides radar with so much more useful tools, such as air quality, which isn't offered on weather apps I've paid $50 for a year subscription. This app is a great value for the amount of functions it provides, and great as a free weather app for the less weather enthused user. I highly recommend you check it out, the weather forecasts are aesthetically pleasing and can be changed to different styles.

Deception is never great, and it downgraded

Found this weeks ago and it was the most amazing thing, absolutely brilliant. And then, it ceased to be. The main point is, it's NOT FREE, that is a lie, and I don't appreciate deception. It's a trial, doesn't tell you that, gives no indication of a time period, it just stops working one day and wants you to pay to get content. So, it's useless after that unless you subscribe and since weather data is free that's nonsense. If you want me to buy your app, make it a paid app, not a free app with paid data feed of free information. Do not deceive people by saying something is free when it's a trial. Second, the menu bar icon used to show the weather condition and temp. Now it's just a blue drop. Perhaps this is also due to the trial shutting down, but since there is no information on this I can't know that for sure. It could be they just made it less useful, who knows. In the end, this gets removed and goes on the junk pile. Real shame, it's a beautifully designed app with great information and options, easily the best thing I've seen for desktop weather, but they ruin it with their scheme.
