Panorama Stitcher Overview
What is Panorama Stitcher? The app is an automatic panorama stitching application for Mac that is perfect for creating high-resolution images for large prints. It uses a state-of-the-art algorithm that automatically aligns source photos, supports both spherical and planar stitching, handles moving objects, and corrects exposure leveling and lens shading. It offers rectilinear and equirectangular projections for rendering, automatic cropping, and accurate color handling. The app also merges EXIF tags from source files to output and supports Photosphere tags. The user interface is simple and clean, allowing users to drag and drop images to start stitching and access all editing controls. It also offers manual exposure correction and crop controls and supports import and export in all image formats supported by Mac OS X, including all formats supported by Apple RAW. The app exports in JPG, TIFF, and PNG formats.

Works great with Mavic Air 2 360 panos
I’ve been searching for a while for an affordable app that can handle the DJI Mavic Air 2 360 panoramas. The drone captures 26 raw images and automatically stitches them into a circular image that appear on your iphone DJI app. My attempts to post process a rectangular image from the 26 separate photos has not been up to my desired results. The best tool I tested cost over $300. Great tool, but too expensive for my purposes. I then found Panorama Stitcher and figured the price was right and it claimed to be able to merge my 26 images for a 360 view. It processed the images on my first attempt. It even smoothed out the exposure variation, which is critical to getting the desired results easily without a lot of additional post processing. The software allowed me to quickly double process for two different output exposure images that I then processed using HDR processing tools. Results was exactly what I was hoping to achieve. Great product for a great price.
Works very well
I screwed up. I wrote a nasty review giving Panorama Stitcher one star because I couldn’t figure out how to get it to perform an operation that I needed done, an operation that I considered essential. After I wrote my negative review, Panorama Stitcher support suggested that I send them an email. I did, explaining my problem at some length. They responded with a very gentle explanation of how to accomplish my goal. It was one of those “DOH!” moments for me. I suppose that I could hide behind the excuse that the solution should have been intuitively obvious to the most casual observer, but the fact is that the feature in question was very reasonably presented — the real problem was that I was too impatient to go through the documentation. In any case, now everything works perfectly, and I’ve got egg all over my face for unfairly criticizing them.
Works very well! (Photoshop Photomerge doesn't.)
Two tests: normal panoramic photos taken on my iPhone, and several old, large newspapers, scanned page by page in sections with plenty of overlap. This app worked in every instance, whereas Photoshop photomerge failed in every(!) instance, sometimes with some relatively minor but noticeable issues, and sometimes major(!!!) and unacceptable misalignment. Panorama Stitcher is easy to use, and very fast, and works perfectly for my needs. Highly recommend.
Simple and Fast
Also great support. I had taken a number of overlapping photos of a tall redwood tree almost directly under the tree. When I imported the images into Panorama Stitcher the upper branches looked distorted. Less than 1 hour after emailing support I received a reply. I just had to rotate the image 90 degrees for my vertical panorama to fix the distortion. The technical term is transverse spherical instead of normal spherical. Runs fine on my M1 Windows Mini.
