crashing!
i just spent 7 dollars for an app that is not user intuitive. I can not even figure out how to name a recipe! There is no info in the help tab. PLEASE tell me you are going to correct these issues in an update in the next week!!! I can not use this app as is. Part 2: The reason I was not able to name a file is because the text field was grayed out and I was unable to see it. I have entered about a dozen recipes and now it keeps freezing up and I lose all the info I have typed in when I do a force closure (the only way to move forward). I has caused by entire computer to crash. I really like the concept of this app and hope it can be fixed.
So much better than paper in a box!
I was a little bit apprehensive about this app because of the reviews. At first it was very easy to add ingredients if you click the box to the right of the measuring cup, very laborious if you click all the individual boxes on the left and I could easily add a picture. But after the third recipe or so it would close me out of things I was trying to add - for each ingredient and each instruction. Once I get everything added, I’ll really like having this instead of all that paper. But for sure some bugs need to be worked out as far as the ease of entering information. I haven’t tried to import a recipe.
Incredibly cumbersome
I was so excited to find what was billed as a simple, classy, and intuitive recipe app. Instead I found that entering recipes is a major production. I have to double-click to add each ingredient, which most of the time doesn’t work until I’ve double-clicked multiple times. The same is true for each step of the recipe. It would seem much simpler to access those functions with either the tab or return key. The final result looks good, which is why I gave it 2 stars, but it’s sure hard to get there, which is also why I gave it 2 stars. I’m hoping there will be an update soon that makes it simpler and faster to use. Thanks.
I got punked
This was displayed in the app store as having a five star average rating. When you actually look at the reviews, you realize that that can’t be true. This app is a total non-starter. Once you have entered a recipe it disappears. It can’t be searched for, the only place it shows up is in the recent recipes list. You cannot tab from field to field. deleting ingredients or steps is incredibly awkward and tedious. Don’t get this. I want my money back. And I will never believe app store “average ratings” again!
Works great!
It's not the prettiest app to look at, but it is perfect for my needs. During quarantine, I've been really building my bartending skills, and my cocktail recipe documents were getting out of hand. Now with this app they are perfectly organized and searchable by ingredient. You can even add custom tags, so I can also search by custom keywords like "sweet", "refreshing", "strong", etc. I also appreciate the serving "scale to" feature. When I am mixing drinks for my whole household, I can scale it to 3 servings and it does the math for me. You can also upload your own photos for each recipe, which is pretty fun and also adds a little beauty to the overall app.
