VacationPlanner Overview

What is VacationPlanner? VacationPlanner is a Mac application that helps users plan their vacations. It allows users to generate custom itineraries for dining, rooms, transportation, tickets, events, and locations. The app also features an interactive calendar that reminds users of holidays, available tickets, and events, as well as the ability to import and export packing lists. Users can generate a budget for their trip, import photos, drop pins at visited locations, and check the weather and driving directions with the web gateway. The app includes over a half dozen reports to keep users informed, with panels for vacation, room, calendar, packing list, itinerary, budget, tickets, dining, transportation, photos, web gateway, and locations. The app also syncs with the free iPhone app VacationSync over iCloud.

    Fun Planner

    I just bought this App to plan my Disney Vacation. It is loads of fun from the countdown clock to the automatic itinerary feature. I dropped push pins at Fort Wilderness and several restaurants at EPCOT. Dining reservations and confirmations were easy to input and showed up in the Itenerary. I used the Web Gateway to link to the campfire movie schedule. I have not used the Transportation Module yet since I will be arriving by SUV. With the easy to use packing list, I won’t forget a thing. I plan to upload photos from the trip into the Photo module later on.

    Disappointing

    I was looking for something that would consolidate all key travel information. Unfortunately, while this program asks you to enter all relevant information such as confirmation numbers and flight numbers, the summary itinerary fails to include any of this information. I guess when you need that information, you are supposed to open up your computer and search for it under the relevant category. Save your money and just enter all the relevant information in your online calendar which can be accessed via mobile devices.

    Works GREAT!

    No problem at all syncing with iPhone 3gs! Just got National Park Pass and had fun planning first trip. Tried out all the options: Calendar of Events, Room, Packing List, Itenerary, Budget, Tickets, Dining, Transportation, Web, and Locations. All worked like a breeze! This app sure adds to the joy of planning a trip! Thanks!

    It's Just Spreadsheets

    This app is a compilation of various spreadsheets with limited information fields. I should have saved my money and just shared my spreadsheet notes with my family.
