Best FPS game on Windows, but there’s space for improvement

Metro last light is a game about an young man named Artyom tries to save the Metro that they live in. You have to fight some mutated monsters, and some human enemies. This game is not like Call of Duty, which is loud all the time. Metro last light gives me a quiet, horror survival feeling some times. The graphics of this game is like dead island, it’s playable using a mid 2014 Windows book pro at about medium setting. ( I think it's around 30 FPS ) Everything has a down side. First of all, the DLC of this game don’t want to download when I purchased it. I also studied the PC version of Metro Last Light, and I found out that there’s MSAA and FXAA in the PC version, but there’s no AA for Windows. The graphics option became a simple bar instead of Low, Medium, or high. There’s also some annoy glitchs that made me stuck under the map. really want to smash my computer sometimes because I can’t play the Redux version with such graphics card.

    Irritated

All cut sences load but nothing else. The game starts with no chance to alter setting. the first time game started for me my breath was taken away by graphics and was amazed by how far Windows gaming has come in 1 year but when the game started everythng was white. i quickly loaded the options and saw how pitiful they where. For video options there is a quality bar nothing else no, texture quailty change, no motion blur alteration, no FOV slider, and the audio options are just as pitiful. If the opening cut sence hadn't jaw dropped me the way it did this game would have a one start by me. i have deleted and redownloaded this game 3 times and it has changed the game a bit that things load to the point i can almost see somthing but this is still unplayable. Please fix this. This game has great potential. If this gets fixed ill change my review but until then my 2 star stays as my vote.

    Graphics settigs are nearly nonexistent

Stuff like this prevents people from taking Windows gaming seriously. Literally the only way to adjust graphics options is with a single sliding bar. That’s it. You have an extremely small amount of control over the aesthetic value of your game, which is a shame considering how good the original game is both aesthetically and overall. I don’t know if this was just an extremely lazy port or an intentionally dumbed down version of the settings, but either way, I will not be purchasing any games from the Windows app store in the future. The ironic thing is that I specifically chose to buy this game because I had been trying to support companies that make games for or at least port them to the Windows platform. I prefer this os to windows, but I still use bootcamp for the majority of my gaming, and sad excuses for games like this don’t help. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.

One of the best games for Windows

This is one of my favorite games of all time. The story line is confusing at times but it adds to the mystery and makes you want to play more to find out what it all means. This game can be played two ways (depending on what you pick at the beginning). First if you like first person shooters, running in guns ablazing, this game is for you. Second if you like survival games, sneaking around to get by people/things, this game is for you.

    Fun

Metro has a cool story, decent shooter-style game with some stealthy aspects. In my opinion, it has elements of bioshock mixed with fallout. Also, the game ran smoothly on my 1.5 year old, 13'' PC, and I'll be the first to admit that I don't take the best care of my computer (took forever to download, though). The price is a little high. I'd recommend buying it for ps3 or xbox (if available), so you can trade it back for store credit when you're finished. But having it on my laptop was nice because I could play at work!
