Espresso Ray Features and Description

1. Unlike complicated bloated medical software, Espresso Ray exists to be as simplistic and to-the-point as possible for viewing and converting DICOM images.

2. But what about those of us who are not medical professionals? It seems as if traditional medical viewers missed the memo: Windows software should be simple, easy, and shouldn't require any training to use.

3. Espresso Ray is a viewer and batch converter for DICOM images.

4. Apply that concept to a DICOM file viewer, and Espresso Ray is the result.

5. These days, medical software tends to be bloated, overcomplicated and not very easy to use.

6. It also supports both grayscale and color DICOM images of any size.

7. A low-fat, to the point, DICOM viewer and converter.

8. It supports 3D volumetric and 2D formats.

Pros:

  • - Function correctly when dicom files are specified
  • - Easy to use and gets the job done flawlessly
  • - Can do “batch” which allows you do convert multiple files at the same time
  • - Can convert files to jpg, save them, zoom in/out, scoll to be able to go from image to image without having to open and close each image

Software Reviews and Criticism

    Espresso Ray

I found the application to function correctly, when dicom files were specified. Espresso Ray opened them, no problem. My initial problem was the zip file I was trying to download was not complete and became CPGZ file, which when double clicked became a zip file, which when double clicked became a cpgz file; etc. Information online suggested trying a different browser. I had tried to download with CHROME first. Bad DATA, then I used SAFARI. I didn't seem to see any result, so I went to eat. When I returned there was my files in a new folder titled -0-. It's only four bucks.

    Great, easy to use app

If your trying to view an x-ray from a disk you got from your doc, this is the app you want. It’s easy to use and gets the job done flawlessly. I had a hell of a time trying to find an app that I didnt have to pay for just to view the dicom files until I found this. Couldn’t be more simple- pick the file you want to view and the photo pops up. You can also do “batch” which allows you do convert multiple files at the same time. I got the free version but from what I’ve seen, the upgrade is worth the money.

Exactly what I needed to look at my MRI/Xrays!!!

Wish I had bought this one 1st...bought another app for the same price first and all I could look at was small pictures of my Xrays and MRI (from a disc), while with this app you can convert them to jpg, save them, zoom in/out, scoll to be able to go from image to image without having to open and close each image... Well worth $3.99!!!

Awesome, needed it to analyze an angiogram from Ukraine.

Worked Perfectly. I finally downloaded this after 3 hours of trying to find a free DICOM file reader. My problem was that the files I had didn’t have file extensions after I unzipped them, and fortunately this program worked perfectly and was able to open them as well as convert them to JPGs. Thank you so much!
