Version 1.9.5 still does not reload key file
In looking for a replacement for KeepassX I chose KyPass for the Windows because the iOS version worked very well for me. However I found in the Windows version if you use a key file for 2 factor authentication you must reload the key file every time. Besides being a general nuisance to all, it is even more irksome to users with a Windows that supports touch id as having to reload the key file prevents touch id use. This issue was recognized in the previous version and appears not to have been fixed in this one.
Works perfect, use it every single day.
Works perfect, I use this application every single day and its been very dependable for me.
Fingerprint stopped working
Zero support from developer. FIngerprint stops working and the software is completely flakey. I've had it corrupt my password file multiple times.
By far best keypass-compatible OS X client
I’ve been trying to use the free solutions (KeePassX, which was “ok”), but finally bit the bullet and bought Kypass Companion when I got my new Windows. It was money well spent. It just works - slurps up my database, works like I expect *including* with keepasshttp (very important to me), fast, straightforward UI - totally great. Nitpicks: It would be nice if it could disappear to the menu bar at the top (and not take up space in the dock), and with all due respect, boring icon. But - if those are the big complaints, you are doing really well. I have had *one* crash, so there may be some stability issues, but I relaunched and was back in business 2 seconds later. Keep up the good work. Update: A feature I miss is database merging. I have my keepass database saved on a shared drive - it would be nice if when I saved and a newer version of the database is there if it would merge the two (deleting duplicates, of course). The regular Keepass for windows does this, as does KeePassX, so I kinda got used to it. Please?
Latest update breaks chromelpass integration...
Not sure who to blame here, but clearly not enough coordination/testing seems to have gone into ensuring interoperability between these two applications (If it hasn't been tested, or isn't meant to work, then removing the button to install the chromelpass extension inside the KyPass Companion preferences --> extensions should be removed, along with a warning prior to upgrade..). Also, the "support" website is particularly useless, as there doesn't appear to be a single response to a number of legitimate requests, and I've still yet to see an update from a "support" inquiry I submitted 8 months ago. I'd expect a lot more from a paid app.
