What is Episodes Lite? Episodes is a Mac-App designed to manage TV shows in a quick and easy way. It features a dashboard that provides an overview of all favorite shows, tracks viewing progress, and shows metadata from TheTVDB.com. The app allows users to play the next episode with one click from their hard drive and assigns backed-up DVD sets to a show and launches a favorite video player. Episodes is flexible and works with files on a hard drive, network drive, or USB drive. The Lite version has some limitations, but users can unlock the full version from inside the app. Note that Episodes is not a video player and does not download TV shows.

Great app, have been looking for a long time for an app to track all my shows w/ a simple GUI. 5/5!

This app is great. It links all my files on my HDD and external drives to the metadata from tvdb and leaves me with a simple graphical view of my shows, a big upgrade from using Finder before. It’s simple enough that it automatically matches your files but unlike the huge apps with all the bells and whistles like xmbc, this requires little effort and all the info I want from an app like this. It basically just put a GUI to all my shows instead of using Finder. It moves shows with new episodes to the top, which is a huge plus, shows upcoming and most recent episodes, and is able to open VLC so I can view my shows. If you already have the episodes, or just want a TV guide app, this is highly recommended. I just upgraded to the full version (if you upgrade in-app then you will have a fully activated version of EpisodesLite, so I would suggest going to the Windows Store and upgrading by purchasing Episodes.app although both options will give you a full version). Simple to use, and customer support is very helpful. Developer seems to be actively updating/improving as well.

Ok… but lite version is too limited to really try it...

I am really dissappointed in the light version… you are limited to one TV series…. This is not enough to really try out this program… I think I would really like it…. but can't tell with a limit of one series… maybe 3 or 4…. but 1….. come on guys…. That said… I actually considered just going ahead and buying the full app and tryinging it… I thought maybe $3.99 or somewhere around there but instead it is $5.99… I think that price is just a little high for what this program does… or at least I think it does…. not sure b/c the lite version is so limited I could try it enough to justify paying $6.00 for… It is great b/c it gives you series information from your iTune TV Shows… but it doesn't update the meta data with the series information… That is what I would want it to do…. but you can only see the series info w/in the program…. If you make an option to update the tags in iTunes then it would be worth it… but I really don't think I will be opening this to watch TV shows in iTunes…. I will just open iTunes…. Don't mean to be critical… b/c I think this has potential…. just not there yet…. and if it is… was so limited with the one series that I chose that I could not see that it is worth it...

Works fine

Very well done, polished, identifies the show correctly. Will be 5 starts once it detects the show automatically (currently you need to add one by one) and trakt syncs automatically.
