Good, but might be great
Overall very nice, moreover free. When closing the main window its impossible then to get it back, app is running but without window. It would be better if auto answer wil be placed on the surface but not in the settings. But again its free and great with my sip account. Thank You.
Great start but needs a lot of work
It's a great start with being able to Make and Receive calls via a desktop application, however it has a long way to go before it's really use worthy for those folks who use Google Voice as their primary work line (like me). If making it a paid app means increasing the time the team has to work on it and make it really regular use worthy, then I would glady buy it! The UI needs an overhaul, call handling needs major improvements, preferences could use some work with things like allowing to set the ring tone, and input/output settings, to name a couple.
Close, but needs work
I was very excited to receive calls on Windows through Google Voice without having to have mail open. I use my GVoice line as a business line. I was able to make a call out which is fantastic. I agree the UI needs work, but it’s a great start. Problem, however is that when I used a phone to try calling myself, it rang… I answered, but the phone I was calling on kept ringing and eventually went to voice mail. Yate Client confirmed I answered, and started the call clock, but the call was never connected. I will remain hopeful for an update/fix.
UI Could Use Work, Needs Push Notifications for when App is not running.
UI Could Use Work, Needs Push Notifications for when App is not running. Seems not to ring when another GTalk app like Talkatone is running on the same account, seems only one GTalk app will ring the phone, but that is a Google restriction, apparently. Not sure if it will ring if it's the only GTalk app running - did not try that. Worked fine with SIP via BroadVoice for outgoing calls, but would not ring for incoming calls. :(
