Overall Solid and Helpfull App
I LOVE the ability to look at my Menu Bar and quickly see the date and dates ahead with a simple click. The icon is non intrusive to the bar, and the interface is very easy to use. It ties seamlessly into my iCloud account to show all events I’ve entered as well. When you click on an event, it will take the next step of opening your Calendar app for further details or editing. So, it truly is a snapshot of what’s happening, and a shortcut to the calendar if you need more in depth interaction. The app also integrates weather, and shows a relavent icon (Sun, rain cloud, snow etc.) to show you what the days ahead look like. My only gripe is that the app doesn’t have an easy option to remove stock background images for each month. The pictures each month come with are busy, and too distracting, making the things look cluttered and messy. I had to save a grey background to my desktop, and go into preferences 12 times (for each month) to choose the grey background I saved, so I could have a simple, clean look. If an option to select a solid background color was integrated, that would be awesome. Overall, great app with few tweaks needed. I’ve been using it for almost 3 years, and plan to continue.
Very Useful & Customizable!
I got this with a gift card because I needed the calendar and was very surprised by how much I could customize the appearance! It’s relatively easy to figure out and you don’t have to be incredibly computer savvy. I’m a snob when it comes to design and would rather choose an app for it’s looks and functionality than price, but this one is all 3 (based on those expensive business aps I’ve seen)! Yay! I can use my own pictures for each month and already have the whole year all set! I’m a born planner and I have a filofax, note books and journals but I really enjoy this sweet new calendar! It works so nicely for me as a full time student!
really dont know why i bought this
Wanted a separate calendar for my Windows, as the Microsoft calendar is full to the brim with unrelated events and I don’t want to go through the hassle of clicking and unclicking boxes to find out a separate schedule. The App store’s options make this a difficult task, and I’ve wasted $12 so far just trying to find a feature that should just be built into the Microsoft Calendar anyway. Found out the hard way that this is not a standalone calendar but just a mirror of Ical, busycal and google calendars. Yeah, it says that (somewhat) in the description, but how hard is it to make one standalone calendar app? Also it’s buggy with the viewer frequently glitching.
Buggy, half completed
I'm a bit surprised this app successfully passed the Microsoft app store review process. This is buggy and has the feel of a half completed weekend project, not a professional product. Sometimes calendars mysteriously are not displayed, other times only the event times are displayed with no summary of the event. Each month must be styled individually and the default styles are childish. Expand/collapse list inputs are not drawn correctly, e.g. it is impossible to see the choices when choosing which calendars per account to display. Unfortunately the free version does not support google accounts so it was not possible to fully test this prior to purchasing. Save your $9.99 and look elsewhere.
