    Doesn’t convert non-roman characters

I use this app mostly to change my m4as to mp3s so they play on my phone. However it seems not to work with data concerning titles and artists that are written with nonstandard characters (à,ó,etc.) or non-roman scripts, which just turn into a bunch of question marks. What’s odd is that it doesn’t seem to have this trouble with other data like composers. Since it works completely fine otherwise, I’d be curious to know what’s causing it since it’s quite annoying having to change each of my songs individually so I’m not faced with a wall of question marks.

    Music Converter Pro-A Must Have

I had over 1200 WMA files I needed to convert over to mp3 or Aiff. My client chose mp3 since they take up so little hard drive space. I had used Transcribe to convert one LPs worth of wma files but that was one tune at a time and would take forever. So, this was recommended to me and I think it is worth its weight in gold and worth much more to me than the measly $10 it cost me. It works fast and I have no issues with it at all.

Does what I need it to do

Seems to work flawlessly for what I need it to do which is converting files from one format to another. Usually I use it to covert to Microsoft Lossless for my phone. You could use other apps or maybe Quicktime (?) but this is just so effortless, fast and easy. Nothing exciting and it doesn't need to be. Like I said, it's fast and useful. I used the free version and was impressed enough to buy it, so there's that.

    Incorrect Information about the application

The information indicates that you can change the artist and album title, but you can not. I sent an email to the company and they replied that it can not change the metadata. I bought this to convert my Itunes library and change the name of artists, as I don't like the way Gracenote has multiple artists on non compilation albums. The conversion works fine, so I'm giving it 3 starts, 1 off for mis-information, and 1 off for the price (10 bucks is kind of steep for what it does).

    I love this

I go back and forth with formatting music to move from one sterio system to another. Little quirk is to drag and drop an AAC file, this program will not even allow most AAC files to be dropped into the selection field. However, if I locate the file directly using the built in program selection function, it will list and then convert AAC music files. Quirky, but it does the job! Grateful to own it. A must have!
