    Deleted this App

    I deleted this app. Back to using the old fashion paper version - it didn't require any tracking/other data to use. No bugs.

    Odd layout and skimpy entries, but perfectly functional

    I could sure do without the gigantic roman numeral II on the word list, search, and bookmark pages. The main entry for each word is spared that indignity, but weighted down with five lines of junky credit and copyright text at the bottom of each page. The product seems thinner than the eReader version of Roget's. For example, the entry for "able" gives a measly 5 synonyms; the eReader version goes on for three pages. This app features live links for cross-references, and a "concepts" section that categorizes words in a way that could spark ideas. These are nice touches, and the app seems stable and responsive.

    Promises, promises ...

    I just bought this app mainly because this company promised that since I already owned American Heritage Dictionary 4 (AHD4), I would have "the same functionality" as if I had instead bought the new Deluxe AHD4 which combines AHD4 & Roget II. Unfortunately, I do not have the same functionality with the seperate apps. Similar? Yes. The same? No! Just tired of products being misrepresented.

    Good reference

    This app has a nice interface to help you quickly find and display the information you're looking for without requiring an internet connection. There is a scrolling bug that needs fixed. If you type 2 or 3 letters (e.g. "aba"), all the words beginning with aba are supposed to be displayed. However, some are hidden beneath the virtual keyboard and you cannot scroll down to them.

    True to Form

    I've used Roget's for the past 32 years and have learned to appreciate it's completeness and word choice options as it has helped me tremendously through writing. I find this app no less complete and helpful. Excellent job in transferring the book to this app for the iPad.
