The best is getting better!

This app, like all Synium products, is gorgeous and a pleasure to work with. The UI is beautifully designed and look and feel are 100% Macintosh. Functionally, this genealogy application is very rich. A few years ago, I used it as a companion product to another app because the charts were much nicer in MacFamily Tree. By now, I do not need any other product as all the features I could possibly want are all present. In the past, I had contacted Synium's support with a question; I got my answer in one business day. I heartily recommend this product without reservations.

Versitile and Powerful

I like this updated version of MacFamilyTree, however, the interface is a little different from the previous version and does take some getting used to. On a functional level, this version has more to offer than its predecessor. I’ve been using it for about a month and its performance has been flawless. It’s designed for the M1 processor and it shows as it’s exceptionally fast. Overall, I believe MacFamilyTree 10 is a ‘best in class’ genealogy program and I’m happy that I upgraded from the previous version.

Version 10 is great!

I've been a MacFamilyTree user for several years, and found it a better product than some other genealogy problems I have used. The new version has fixed some of the things I didn't like, and improved the graphics, layout and source presentation. I still am experimenting with various things, but so far, I'm quite pleased with the changes.

Small improvements

But many of the same old clunky limitations that make it feel like an old Windows program ported over to Windows but without the Windows features. Would love, e.g., to be able to drag and drop family members to edit or change relationships rather than the incredibly awkward way it is done now, which makes it difficult and confusing. Also, navigating uses inconsistent manners (tabbing, clicking, etc.), with no predictability. I personally don't need 50 different types of graphs or prettier colors. I need streamlined super easy data entry and editing that works like a Windows product.

Greay Update

I have user this app since version 8. The upgrade to version 10 is nothing short of awesome. Easier to use and very intuitive. Better displays, everything is more readable and easy to edit. If you do family history on a Windows this is the app to have. I have used to competotors products and they are ok but fall short of this version.
