Warning: security risk and developer cannot be reached
Version 5.4.1 carries a dire warning that this extension can "read and alter" information on web pages including passwords and credit cards — with no explanation on the web site about why it needs to see that information in order to make a bookmark! I tried to contact the developer but the Contact link at the top of the help page is broken and the link in the text under "Welcome" is also broken. I hope the developer reads and responds here, or I will have to stop using this service. Too bad, it was great before this update.
Long time user - sad to go
The latest update dropped "Windows share to" support for Raindrop and the web clipper is a significant security threat (why does a bookmark app need full access to the pages you are viewing?). This has rendered the app useless in my workflow. It's a shame because its a really nicely made app otherwise.
Privacy Nightmare
This app requests access in Safari to be able to read ALL of your web pages. That's a terrible design solution. This would have been better implemented as a share sheet. I WILL NOT allow any 3rd party extension to read through websites that I open. I understand their technical need for it, but I disagree that a Safari extension is the right way to implement this. I suspect that this is spyware collecting my activity and selling it to data brokers.
Doesn't work, no response from support
Safari doesn't recognize this after it installs on PC 11. No response from the support email I sent
downloaded the new version
and followed the instructions and safari does not show this in the extensions. no way to add it to extensions
