A Solid Video Trimming App that Does What it Says! :)

P.S. After I followed up for the third time, the developer finally replied to my e-mails and we are discussing the below issues. Rating upgraded from three to four stars. :) _________________________________________ "Video Tool" is precisely what I was looking for, namely, a simple and easy-to-use video trimming and converstion app (not a complete editing suite). The app does what it says, and I would have given it five starts, except for the below four issues. Also, I wrote the developer twice regarding these four issues, at his official support e-mail, and he never replied to any of my e-mails. A. The app still is at version 1.0. Do you have any intention to enhance and update it? If so, when and what features will or might you add? B. Even on an extremely fast new Windows, Video Tool takes a very long time (about 15-60 minutes!) to trim and save an hour-long video (where other video tools on the same Windows take vastly less time). Why does Video Tool take so much longer, and is there anything that you/I/we can do to fix this? C. Also, when we trim an .MP4 video, Video Tool makes the slightly smaller video file three to four times larger (3x to 4x) the size of the original file! Again, why is this happening, and what can you/I/we do to fix this? D. Can you please add to Video Tool the common feature that lets users select and tell the app how many cores, and how much CPU, to use.

Seems to Work as Claimed ~ Not Problems Noted as Yet

Don't have opportunity to use the app very often, but when I do, I don't seem to have any issues with it...other than certain sites not seemng to want to accept the .gif formatted videos for some reason or another...claiming wrong format... .gif formatted being one of the formats accepted... or too large..at 1 minute or less?? Really?? Can't say it's the app's fault or the site's fauld. They run and play fine on my computer (Pc Aire Eary 2-15 running lates Big Sur PC). I would recommend this app for others. It's really the most simple of al such apps I've used to convet from one video format to another. Four stars is the best I ever give for any 5 star rating option, 9 for a 10 star option, as NOTHING rates a 5 or 10 star rating if it's man-made. Only God rates a 5 or 10 star rating for what he does/makes. That simple. Enjoy your version/copy of this app. I think you'll like it as well.

    Cannot resize!!!

The advertised feature is deceptive. It seems that it can only resize at the same aspect ratio. Sometimes videos are distorted to 4:3 when they were filmed at 16:9. This "tool" cannot restore the A.R. While VLC can, i have not found a way to make it save the setting such that conversion is required every time. In my search to find an editor that can do this permanently, i came upon this one...and it failed.

    Works As Described

Shrinks my iphone movies down to smaller sizes with easy drop down choices. Not a super sophisticated video compressor, but excellent for the quick and dirty compression to upload to a site

    Has problems

I had hoped that this would allow me to quickly remove a short portion of a video, but it was just as slow as Final Cut Pro. The app's window is a set size and very small (on a 27" Windows, it's about 6 inches across. It makes editing nearly impossible, especially if you want to do a frame by frame edit.
