Simple and Effective
Was looking for a screen capture app to replace Quicktime and this was the perfect replacement. Simple setup, all the options I needed and runs much more efficiently than quicktime ever did. Only wish it had a meter to check audio levels before recording. Otherwise highly recommended.
Very very basic, but does the job for the price
You're limited in duration, and you have to record the entire screen, no option to select a recording area. But it works well enough. AND you can save locally. No subscription service required. Nifty quick solution.
Excellent screen recorder!
Packed with lots of nice features, yet very easy to use. Would it be possible to also add the option to capture still images?
Will not work for me, will work for others.
The custom resolution only seems available for the main laptop screen, secondary displays are stuck at a fixed resolution. The quality of recordings is fantastic however I want to record programming tutorials and would like to use my secondary display for those recordings. This will not work for me for that specific use case.
So easy and efficient
I almost never review apps, but after trying five - six other screen recording apps, this one is far superior. As a college instructor, I need to record my screen but also have my own video while I'm explaining things and this does it so easily! It wil also show cursor and highlight clicks when I want to emphasize a point on a slide. I also love that I can reduce the size of my face so that most of the recording is of my slides/documents and just a small image of me speaking. Where have you been all my life, Screencast.
