SeeMusic Overview

What is SeeMusic? SeeMusic is a free MIDI editor app that allows creators to make online piano videos quickly and easily. The app takes care of the entire video creation process from start to finish, including recording or adding MIDI, importing and aligning video footage, choosing effects and color, and hitting render. SeeMusic creates cutting-edge projection visuals for live concerts and effortlessly renders out videos for sharing on social media. The app lets audiences see and understand musical harmony through color, where the user chooses a color for each of the 12 musical pitches, and the app visualizes each note using the color chosen for that pitch. SeeMusic can connect to any keyboard or instrument with a MIDI output, and can record synchronized audio and MIDI data. Users can playback a visualization of their musical performance, even without an instrument on hand. The app also allows users to import and visualize MIDI files of any piece of music, visualize live music from a piano keyboard, connect any instrument with a MIDI output, record live performances with synchronized MIDI and audio, use the Live Camera View feature to show live video inside the app, and create video content in the app using the Create Video feature. SeeMusic is available on Instagram, YouTube, and the Visual Music Design website, and offers support through their forum. The app has a subscription-based model, and users can find the terms of subscription and privacy policy on the Visual Music Design website.

    Cuts my workflow in half

This is a great app. If you make piano tutorial videos, then this is the best all-in-one app. It makes your MIDI's look beautiful and eliminates all the annoying rendering work that you may be trying to do in After Effects. If you dont make piano tutorials, but need a great piano visualiser for any other reason... This app is still the best. It's easy to use and has seen regular updates to improve thigns. Only suggestions I'd like to see are better textures for the keys/import our own, and I would LOVE to see the ability the have a video/image in the background (replace the black background but key the notes prominent and in front). But those are just requests, it's already a great app.

    Very cool new features

Been a fan of the SeeMusic app since day one, but wanted to say that the new updates are just making the app so much better.  The new particles, the saber, and the texture effect inside the notes are all exactly what I was looking for.  Hoping that it will be possible to import our own clips for the textures soon!  But truly already incredible as is.

    BEST PIANO MUSIC APP EVER

This is FAR AND AWAY the BEST app for making any videos on piano. And they look gorgeous. Extremely helpful and efficient. I've never recorded a piano tutorial so quickly that looks this good. Students love them. The effects are so great as well. I made a series of visualizer / videos of my pinao playing for an art installation and I am thrilled with the outcome. This app is a game changer!!!!!

    wow

Had been struggling to get my videos to look the way I wanted them to, since I don't own a light strip or have After Effects.  SeeMusic takes care of the whole video creation process from start to finish, and renders really fast.  Probably only a matter of time before everyone is using this

    Great Concept, Poor Execution

Looking at this app, I though 'wow'! this is just what I've been looking for! Only it didn't come up to par. First of all the app loads, with both sides WAY off the screen. So I have to shrink it so it fits in my screen. Not a big deal right? Next you click the 'enter' button to open the piano visualization console. As a technically savvy person, (teenager xD) let's just say I was momentarily baffled. The interface is blurry, and more like low-res picture buttons, than actual options like you would expect from an on-screen app. It was hard to figure out which buttons meant which things, and then how to even close the menu, once you had selected the settings that you wanted. But if the final product is great, I mean hey? It's worth the bother. I plugged my keyboard in through MIDI hookup, and proceeded to play. Only what I was hearing was over a second later than when I had hit the key! I know that it has worked fine for GarageBand on the same Windows, so it's not the MIDI converter, or the port replicator. I've tried it several times and it's the same. It's nearly impossible to play anything when what you're hearing is that far behind. Let's just say I'm really disappointed. From the look of it, and the reviews, I was honestly expecting something better than this.
