Software Reviews and Criticism

    Doesn't Work

Doesn't seem to work, and there is no UI feedback to explain why. I enter a websocket URL and attempt to connect and... nothing. No feedback whatsoever about whether anything worked. Judging from the other reviews, it must have worked at some point. But currently it appears to be broken.

    Their editor is broken

If you paste or type JSON with regular double quotes, the editor changes the text to the fancy double quotes: " vs ” and it ruins your message for you

    Doesn't work.

I have a Spring server that uses the STOMP subprotocol and I can connect to it but everytime I try to send a subcribe request with the necessary headers and an empty body the app straight up crashes. Our service is designed that way and the mobile clients that connect to it in the real world work just fine but I can't rapid test our websocket functionality with this since it fails everytime. I don't know if it's the empty payload body or the STOMP protocol but something is bugged here which I have to say is a real shame I really wanted this to work. In a world of many many desktop clients are available to test HTTP/REST servers like postman most people still have to build their own simple websocket clients to test their servers or use some dev tool or plugin in their browser like Chrome. I wanted a standalone native desktop client for testing websockets but this ain't it, at least yet.
